GORDON KOANG CORONAVIRUS

After witnessing the much-loved album Unity, and dance-floor singles 'Y-Dah (Sleep D Remix)' and 'South Sudan Andras Remix', Melbourne-based Gordon Koang returns with a new single, 'Coronavirus'. Far from the monotony and stress that the coronavirus has caused, the new track is instantly up-lifting. The drums instantly bring a sway to the shoulders, whilst piano and guitar mirror each other in a jovial melody. Koang quite plainly states, 'Coronavirus you're a bad disease...', he continues, '...go away we don't want you in the world'. As if talking to the virus, he explains, 'Many people lost their lives, and we lost our job because of you'. 'Coronavirus' is a refreshingly honest and uplifting account of the new reality that we've all become perhaps a little too accustomed to. The new single brings a fresh perspective to the whole thing with a joyful disposition. -Ellie Rose-Davies
